ARPA-E Fellow Lakshana Huddar

Dr. Lakshana Huddar currently serves as an ARPA-E Fellow. Her interests include heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and advanced nuclear reactor design.

Huddar received her Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from the University of California, Berkeley under the direction of Prof. Per F. Peterson. For her Ph.D., she studied and developed advanced nuclear reactors designs. While at Berkeley, she was a graduate student researcher at the Thermal Hydraulics Laboratory where she worked on designing scaled separate effects heat transfer experiments in support of developing fluoride-salt-cooled high temperature reactors. From 2013-2016, Huddar was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. She is currently a member of both the American Nuclear Society and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Huddar earned a MEng in mechanical engineering from Imperial College, London.
