Bart Bridwell currently serves as a Supervisory Contract Specialist with the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy. In that role, he leads ARPA-E’s Contracting Team and their acquisition and assistance award activities. Before joining ARPA-E, he worked for the National Science Foundation (NSF) as a Branch Chief in its Division of Acquisition and Cooperative Support. While there, he was responsible for the negotiation, award, administration, and closeout of assistance agreements for scientific facility design, construction, and operations of NSF-sponsored large facilities.
He also served as a Contracting Officer with primary responsibility for the acquisition activities of the United States Antarctic Program and as the agency’s Competition Advocate. While with the National Science Foundation, he was honored with five NSF Director’s Awards for program management excellence. He also has been honored by the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency.
Bridwell earned a B.A. in History from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota.
