Technology-to-Market Advisor

Dr. Gregg A. Cremer currently serves as a Technology-to-Market Advisor at the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), where he helps drive innovative energy technologies from mind to market. Dr. Cremer's primary focus is ARPA-E's second SCALEUP cohort, SCALEUP 2021, for which he is the Federal Lead.

Dr. Cremer joined ARPA-E in 2022 after a long career in the international energy industry, having held a variety of commercial and technology management positions leading the development, demonstration and deployment of new technologies. In particular, Dr. Cremer has broad experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to structure, negotiate, and execute deals that delivered significant value from technical innovation to customers and stakeholders through optimum commercial arrangements, including IP licenses, collaborative R&D agreements, spinout companies, joint venture formation, and corporate VC investments. Dr. Cremer's areas of technical interest include hydrogen, dense energy carriers, industrial decarbonization, long duration energy storage, floating offshore wind turbines, ML/AI, and other things. Dr. Cremer earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and his Executive MBA from Rice University.
