Technology-to-Market Advisor

Dr. David Nye currently serves as a Technology-to-Market Advisor at the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) at the U.S. Department of Energy. For the past two decades, Dr. Nye has led R&D, product management, and high-performance engineering teams in in the industrial energy, display glass and HVAC industries.

Prior to ARPA-E, Dr. Nye served as a Vice President at Dresser-Rand where he led Global R&D and Product Management for the company’s portfolio of engineered-to-order rotating equipment solutions serving oil & gas, petrochemical and heavy industrial processes. In addition, he was a member of the management team responsible for identifying and commercializing emerging energy technology solutions. Dr. Nye subsequently served as the Senior Manager for Melting & Forming Equipment Engineering at Corning Incorporated, where he led an engineering and project management team delivering enhanced technologies for display glass manufacturing.

Dr. Nye received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
