Dr. Elise Goldfine

Fellow

Dr. Elise Goldfine currently serves as a Fellow at ARPA-E. Her technical interests include primary energy, energy storage, mining technologies, and decarbonization of industrial processes.

Dr. Goldfine earned her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University in 2023. Her Ph.D. research focused on synthesis and characterization of oxynitride materials for catalytic applications. She also holds a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University, where she studied deposition of nanoparticle electrodes for batteries and fuel cells. Dr. Goldfine also previously researched reconfigurable liquid-liquid interfaces at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and worked as a development engineer at Tessolar Inc., a startup working on novel solar module design.
