Dr. Xin Wu

Technology-to-Market Advisor

Dr. Xin Wu currently serves as a Technology-to-Market Advisor at the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E). Dr. Wu brings over 16 years of design and development experience in the areas of power electronics, electrical system integration, advanced sensors, real-time and physics-based system modeling and analysis, and diagnostic, prognostic and health monitoring.

Prior to joining ARPA-E, Dr. Wu served as the Discipline Chief for Integrated Electrical Systems and Architecture at Pratt & Whitney (PW). While at PW, she led electrical system technology development activities to establish an integrated strategy with the Military and Commercial Advanced Development Program Offices into demonstrator and program plans, leveraged outside technology capabilities from partners, suppliers, other RTX business units, universities and government labs, and lead studies to ensure technology identification and benefits quantification were addressed.

Previously, Dr. Wu spent over a decade at Raytheon Technologies Research Center, leading efforts in the application of advanced semi-conductor devices across RTX business units and designing and developing wireless power transfer and embedded sensing systems through additive manufacturing. She began her career in electromechanical system modeling and simulation at the Ansys Corporation.

Dr. Wu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology – China, and a PhD. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
