Wrapping up the Final Day of the 2019 ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit – Day 3 Recap

Wednesday at the 2019 ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit wrapped up three exciting days of energy innovation, starting off with another round of our new “Coffee with ARPA-E” networking session with ARPA-E Program Directors and Leadership.

The final day’s morning included the final round of ARPA-E Program Director/Fellow “Fast Pitch” sessions, featuring talks:

  • What if Nuclear Plants Were 10x Cheaper to Operate
  • Next Generation HVAC: Smaller, Smarter, and more Adaptive
  • How to Electrify the Industrial Sector?
  • Taking the Hot Air Out of Drying
  • Enabling Fusion’s Kitty Hawk Moment

Attendees also had a chance to participate in breakout sessions on:

The morning closed out with a special Congressional video from U.S. Senator from Colorado Cory Gardner, as well as our “Colorado as a Model for Collaborative Energy Innovation” panel featuring Alice Jackson, President, Xcel Energy Colorado, Dr. Martin Keller, Director, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Brian Pugh, Chief Operating Officer, BPX, Dr. Will Toor, Executive Director, Colorado Energy Office, and Dr. Bryan Willson, Executive Director, CSU Energy Institute.

The formal program of the summit closed with brief remarks from ARPA-E Acting Director Chanette Armstrong, and a final visit to our Technology Showcase for attendees to connect directly with our performers and see their technology first-hand.
